Hibernation Station - West Jefferson Log Cabin

I would highly recommend Stay Blue Ridge. They provided prompt responses. Answered all my questions. And provided clear, detailed check in/check out instructions and other useful information. The cabin was clean and very cozy! We had a great vacation!

The house was perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and more. Everything was very clean and the house was perfectly decorated for the season. The lights and the fire pit created an amazing spot for roasting marshmallows and just hanging out. My kids also loved the game room. We will definitely be back.

My family and I loveeeed this place. It was very clean and smelled good. This cabin was nothing less than excellent. This was our first time staying in west Jefferson and we will sure be returning to this cabin. We enjoyed the great view this cabin had to offer. The kids loved the play room downstairs. The driveway is steep but not to bad to drive up and down. My family and I enjoyed staying here and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice cozy place??

We had just a small issue with the hot water however it was nothing that we could not work with and nothing that would keep us from wanting to go back to hibernation station. It is a beautiful home and very well stocked and laid out. We definitely plan to be back!

Thank you for the wonderful review! For future guests, hot water heater works, and ocassionally needs a switch flipped to turn back on.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hibernation Station. Extremely well stocked, clean and comfortable. Easy drive into West Jefferson but we were glad we brought our truck as a short section of the road to the house had some pretty deep ruts. Except for that, this was one of the best houses we have rented!

Beautiful home surrounded by nature. This was probably the best stocked vacation rental we've ever stayed in. They had everything you'd need to make yourself and your guests comfortable. Super quiet and perfect for relaxing while still close enough to West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing rock to get whatever you need or spend a day exploring one of the cute local towns. 10 out of 10, would definitely stay here again!!

Our stay was fantastic everyone had a great time and the place was beautiful and wished we could have stayed longer but great time. The only thing was my sister is very handicapped and there needed to be more handles in the bathrooms to hold on to but that was the only thing that I saw that needed improvement. Thanks so much for all you did and hopefully we will be back again if we can all stay alive.

Our first Thanksgiving with the whole family in the mountains and Hibernation Station was the perfect place. A beautiful and cozy home with everything needed to cook and enjoy a great Thanksgiving day meal and relax afterwards. Us old folks, the kids, and grandkids all loved it!

Cabin is very well equipped, in a quiet location and comfortable. It was very clean and well cared for. Lots of attractions close by. Scenery was beautiful. Enjoyed downtown West Jefferson.

We had and excellent dad's weekend away. Fire, Pool table, great kitchen and living spaces. Even with few other houses around we heard nothing. It was a nice place to relax

The property is very rental-friendly. Seems that they thought of everything we could need. Although upstairs has 1 bathroom there was adequate space to get ready with the additional dressing tables with lighted mirrors in the X-Lg walk-in closets. Granddaughter loved walking up the back trail to check the deer feeder. Mgmt Co. was very responsive. Didn't care for the driveway but besides that, everything was PERFECT.

Hibernation Station is such a wonderful property and very accommodating. So clean, Kitchen well stocked, cozy den, fun board games and playing pool downstairs (way too cold, snowy and frigid wind to play outside this last weekend . ?????? Be prepared for steep driveway and you definitely need 4-wheel drive in winter if calling for snow. Would love to go back in the Fall so we could enjoy the firepit. West Jefferson is such a quaint little town with great shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend staying at this cabin and visiting West Jefferson!!

This cabin was great. It was beautifully decorated, well equipped, spacious, and homey. We rented it the week between Christmas and New years and there were Christmas lights and decorations too. We expected snow but we had an unexpected heat wave. That was probably for the best because the drive way in is steep and our van was big. It's close to town and shopping. The kids had a great time playing outside and exploring. Because it was warmer we hung outside a lot and made lots of fires in the fire pit. It was a great vacation and I totally recommend this cabin.

The house was very nice and roomy, but upon arrival the house was freezing cold and took awhile before it heated up. The water pressure was very low. The outside fireplace was very nice only wished we knew we needed firewood. Very clean.

This home was wonderful. Much larger than it appeared in photos, very well stocked with everything you will need for your stay. Very clean and organized. Easy to find and easy access to West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock. We will definitely rent this house again.

We had an excellent experience in this beautiful and relaxing property tucked away in the woods. The furniture and decor were just enough and we enjoyed the fire pit, the full kitchen and comfortable beds. We loved the secure decks and outdoor areas where the kids could play safely and be supervised easily. We hope to rent this place again! A perfect respite, even on a rainy day!!!

This was our first time staying at this location for my family's annual fall mountain trip. The house had lots of room for the children and grandchildren and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We did run out of hot water trying to fill the giant tub in the master so won't do that again. We enjoyed the fire pit. It is conveniently located near West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock. We look forward to staying here again.

The place we stayed was fantastic. It was VERY clean and everything worked properly. It was also quite beautiful. The location is perfect as it is close to West Jefferson, yet private. I would absolutely stay here again and anytime I was in the area.

This property was centrally located, very nice, and had plenty of beds as long as people did not mind sleeping in the same room. The road is pretty steep, so I would be careful in the winter time. Otherwise, this property and everything we needed. Thank you for having us.

Perfect for us
My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving break and we throughly enjoyed the house. It’s fully stocked with plenty of cooking items, it was decorated super cute for the season, and it was very clean! Plenty of amenities and things for the kids to do! The outdoor lights and fire pit set the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and hanging out! We will definitely be back!
