If you want to get away from it all, while staying close to all the High Country has to offer, this is the place! Porch Perfect is a log home on over an acre of loveliness, with its own duck pond! Located just a couple minutes from downtown West Jefferson, you’ll get the serenity of a “country setting” and still be just a quick hop from restaurants, entertainment and shopping.
This beautiful home features a large, covered porch, overlooking a gorgeous, mostly-level lawn. This park-like setting, with the pond and mountains beyond, offers plenty of space for both play and relaxing. Here’s where the stress of everyday life slips away as you soak in nature, peaceful mountain views and cool mountain breezes. Sitting on the porch, you’ll enjoy conversation and a beverage with your favorite people, or solitude and a good book. There’s a grill for dining al fresco. You’ll also love star-gazing at night from the hot tub or fire pit! If you feel like some friendly competition, try your hand at corn hole or foosball.
Inside, the open floor plan includes a great room, kitchen and dining space, perfect for entertaining and family togetherness. This large space opens up directly to the outdoors and offers plenty of natural light. The great room has a convenient gas fireplace and comfortable seating for relaxing or watching TV. The kitchen features stainless appliances and all the supplies you’ll need to whip up meals at home. The wooden kitchen table accommodates 6 easily. A laundry area is available directly off the kitchen.
Here you’re on vacation, so don’t worry about lugging your bags upstairs. All your living space is conveniently located on one level. The master suite comes complete with a king-sized bed, TV, and a private en suite bath, with a step-in shower and double vanity. On the opposite side of the home you’ll find a shared bath off the hallway, a bedroom with queen bed, and a third bedroom offering two twin beds. There’s also a garage for parking.

What a beautiful home and the views, well they are breathtaking! There are so many wonderful things to say about this home and our stay. The home was clean, had everything we needed and was decorated perfectly! The front porch was our favorite. We sat outside and just stared at the view. From the pond on the property, the horses next door, the Christmas tree farm across the street and the autumn colors that draw so many to this magical place. We could sit there forever and listen to the birds. Amazingly quiet and at night so dark you can see stars forever! Of course you've got to visit West Jefferson, only a few minutes away, the coolest little town with so many places to shop, eat and explore! We had an amazing stay at Porch Perfect. As soon as my nephew stepped outside the car after we arrived, he said it was the most beautiful place he's ever seen. The view was beyond amazing. We loved the bunnies and all of the birds around the property. The house had everything we needed and the layout was great with the primary bedroom on one side and the others bedrooms on the other end. We took a long weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle and felt we lucked out with Porch Perfect! The views of the Christmas tree farm, pond, landscape were beautiful. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, grilling delicious dinners, and walking around the grounds taking in the scenery and fresh air. The interior of the home was a great layout and spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed, bedrooms were cozy, the kids loved the option of games in the garage on one of the rainy days while we were there. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Porch Perfect. The porch was perfect and a place we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings while watching deer and foxes run through the pasture. The cabin was a good value and it was stocked with everything we needed. The location was great, close to waterfalls,Boone, and West Jefferson. This is my 5th time staying here (once as Porch Perfect and the other 4 under old rental name). This cabin stay never gets old. From the front porch and view, to all of the amenities and hot tub are wonderful! The kitchen is fully equipped and there was nothing you need extra! WE LOVED THIS HOUSE. Very Charming, View of a Christmas tree farm also at night if you look at the top of the Mountain across the street you will see 3 Crosses lit up in the sky. We feed local horses carrots and took a walk down to the pond and creek. The house itself is very cozy and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Porch Perfect! We felt right at home, and really wished it was our home. Beautiful setting, lovely breezes, and we loved having coffee in the morning with the birds and taking a soak in the hot tub at night under the stars. So peaceful!
