We had a wonderful week! River Haven had everything we needed! The New River was beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed tubing in the river and relaxing beside it in our hammocks! We also enjoyed riding bikes in the neighborhood. We would love to stay in River Haven again someday!

We loved our stay at River Haven. It has become a favorite of ours. The kids love playing in the river and then winding down in the hot tub. We brought a hammock this year to relax by and enjoy the river even more. The three bedrooms are perfect for our family of four. The home is well equipped with whatever you might need and is always very clean. We look forward to staying at River Haven again next year.

We enjoyed our stay at the beautiful mountain house. The view is gorgeous! The house is so nice and comfortable. The hot tub and fire pit was so relaxing. Big yard to play in while listening to the river. Conveniently located to skiing and shopping.

Great place to stay for our family. We have been staying here for the last several years to attend Merlefest. It's a beautiful view and a short walk out the back door to the river. We use the kitchen space each morning for breakfast and lunch packing before heading to North Wilkesboro for Merlefest. The toys and game cabinet were also a great amenity for the grandkids. One year we will all stay longer so we can really enjoy all the house has to offer.

Our family enjoyed our stay at your beautiful cabin located right on the creek! Had plenty of grassy, flat area for the kids to play on, hot tub was clean and hot, and boys loved the ping pong table! Would definitely stay here again!

The property was lovely. We enjoyed adventuring in the river and playing games in the backyard. I loved the privacy and the view. I would love to come back again. I do want to caution, however, that we were concerned at first because the back door had been unlocked when we arrived and the screen door was damaged. Other than that, we had an excellent experience!

Great location and we can’t wait to visit again!! However, when we arrived the grass was at least 6 inches high and desperately needed mowing. We couldn’t play horseshoes or play in the yard as we had planned. Also, the hot tub water was green and didn’t seem to operate very well. The entrance to the river was very difficult to enter safely as well due to black plastic being left on the river side. Despite these things we still had a great visit and can’t wait to return!!! None of these things would prevent me from returning!!! Thanks so much for letting us rent your home.

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Not too far from West Jefferson and surrounding towns. We enjoyed the hot tub (would recommend warmer weather for enjoying as there is no direct access from the hot tub to the house) It was just a really cold walk up the stairs! House was super clean! Only suggest getting the TV remote replaced because it doesn’t work well! *We weren’t there to watch TV, so wasn’t a big deal to us!**

This house was absolutely perfect for our weekend with two toddlers. The layout of the house gave us the privacy (and soundproofing) we needed between two small families and kids. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub, and having a lot Christmas tree in the house was such a special touch! This house was a great value and we hope to come back during the summer months. The checkout couldn’t have been easier.

River Haven was a great little cabin.Very clean and well stocked. Would have liked the fireplace to have been working , but not that big a deal, had a great time. The hot tub was awesome! Would definitely stay here again.

Nice quiet location but just off the main highway so you can easily access Boone or West Jefferson. Rental company was easy to work with; hope to rent this house in the summer.

We visited with family. This is cozy place with 3 bedrooms and close to attractions Boone / Mystery hill tootsie railroad etc. Overall nice place to spend time with family. In summers I feel it would be much better as you can go to the river etc.. we were there for fall colors.

Overall the house is great. The main issue during our stay was a very obvious bug infestation, mainly carpenter ants everywhere. Other minor issues need attention but we enjoyed our stay.

At River Haven, we enjoyed relaxing on the porch by the New River and pitching horseshoes. The neighborhood was very quiet. We visited West Jefferson, went canoeing on the New River, and rode bicycles on the Virginia Creeper Trail.

We had a great weekend stay. We were attending Merlefest so we were thankful that the house was not far off of 221. They house was clean and well maintained. The view was so beautiful. We want to come back in the summer so we can enjoy tubing in the river. Everything was fine about the house and we enjoyed it even though we were only there in the mornings and late evenings due to attending the bluegrass festival.

This is a great house on the New River. We've never stayed in Fleetwood before. West Jefferson is not far away. We went there for lunch one day and walked around. This house was clean and we had a good time by the fire pit on the river. The rental company was easy to work with and answered my emails promptly. Overall it was a great stay Thank You.

We had the most wonderful time during our stay at "River Haven". The weather was perfect, the views were perfect. The house is very nice and rustic and situated right on the river. The deck was great for relaxing with our evening drinks and grilling. We had a blast playing ping pong on the lower level. We hope to be able to rent this home again and we highly recommend "River Haven".

We really enjoyed our stay at River Haven. The house was very clean, in good shape and convenient to Boone.
The only problem was with the Hot Tub location. It is located under the deck on the river side of the house. Privacy is not the issue but access is. If you are wanting to get in it you have to walk down the yard on the side of the house to get to it. This is especially a problem at night because there is no lighting on the sides of the house and it is very dark at that location. For that reason we did not use the Hot Tub at all. I would have prefered it being located on the deck.

Thank you for the feedback. The hot tub is located on the lower level patio / game area and there's actually steps off the left hand side of the deck that lead down directly to the hot tub. There's also exterior porch lighting that easily illuminates the steps as well as the area below.
