The location of the cabin gave us a wonderful view of the river. The layout and interiors completed the overall experience. It is a beautiful cabin! The only negative is the water pressure. Over the years I have stayed in several cabins in this area, and this is the only one that has had this problem... very weak pressure. Although every other aspect of this home would rate 5 stars, I don't think I would stay here again.

The cabin is very nice and we found it to be as advertised. The covered porch overlooking the river was my favorite feature. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at this cabin! It’s so peaceful and comfortable and would love to come again. Just a warning the driveway is very steep, narrow and windy! We almost brought our truck and I’m glad we didn’t.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was very clean and the layout was perfect for our family. It had plenty of space and privacy between the bedrooms and lots of space for everyone to sit down to eat dinner and enjoy watching TV together. We never had any problems with the water as I had read in some of the other reviews. The home was perfect and we would definitely consider staying again sometime in the future. We loved the porch and being able to have our dogs with us was an extra bonus!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cabin. The children just enjoy being there and if it's warm enough we can walk down the hill to the river and they love wading or tubing in the water. Thank you for the opportunity.

Home was great. Loved that it was close to the river and Rivergirl Fishing Company. House was well equipped and sitting on the large patio was very nice. TV and internet were both reliable and the couches were very compfortable.

We had a wonderful time the last weekend of January. We were nervous about the weather but had made plans to have a college visit for our senior at App State and a weekend ski trip to Appalachian Ski Resort. There were nine of us in the cabin and there was more than plenty of room for all. The few issues we had were quickly addressed by the staff, and I found that they were more than willing to communicate. The views from the cabin were stunning. We loved driving around the area because of the views and the ease of getting to a bigger town. The hill was challenging to get to the house due to the weather, but we had been warned before our arrival. The cabin itself was well equipped. We LOVED the fireplace and the cabin was well insulated even when temperatures reached single digits. Overall, we would LOVE to come to this cabin again.

Good afternoon, My family and I enjoyed the River Walk cabin very much. It was spacious and in excellent condition. We were a group of three families with children and enjoyed our Christmas stay. The only thing we all commented on was the water pressure and how it occasionally affected the toilets. It did not however, create any problem for us and I would definitely stay at this cabin again. Thank you so much for making our first family vacation such a pleasurable experience!

The cabin was very clean. And well stocked with normal household items. It was in a good spot and absolutely loved the quiet sounds of the mountains with the river! The downstairs(basement) bath needs to have the hot water looked at., As it did not really heat up. But if i were to recommend going to this or going back, i would not hesitate!

Home is very nice in a quiet and peaceful location. The fall leaves were beautiful around the property. The downstairs bedrooms could use a better quality mattress and bed linens. Enjoyed the stay and would book this home again!!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin it's the perfect location to relax and take in the surroundings. We especially enjoyed listening to the birds on the porch. Our only critique (which didn't impact our stay in any substantial way) was that we felt like the downstairs portion of the cabin was "unfinished". The upstairs on the other hand was beautiful.

A marvelous and excellent place to stay. If you are thinking about spending cold, snowy days there, I would recommend coming prepared as there is a long and narrow driveway up to the cabin. I would also recommend bringing towels and bedsheets. But other than that, everything was perfect, clean, and accurate. They also had kitchen utensils available from spoons to plates to cups.

My family and I had a wonderful week at River Walk Cabin. We enjoyed hiking, fishing, shopping, antiquing and of course eating!. We spent time in Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and West Jefferson. The views were simply beautiful. The cabin was just right for our family of 5. It had everything we needed and the property management staff was very accommodating. Our property was clean and well-maintained. The only suggestion is that the living room couches need updating. We would definitely recommend River Walk Cabin.

Everything was great - awesome cabin with a great view of the river. We enjoyed sitting on the porch - hummingbirds and lightning bugs. Great relaxing vacation!

Cabin is nice, but needs an overall cleaning. Cobwebs, microwave was not clean, food stuck on microwave, misleading on location. No river view, except maybe winter time. Floor plan is great for a large group. Cabin needs a little TLC and rugs, furniture cleaned or updated.

It was good.We had a few concerns.The outlets downstairs in the bedroom were exposed ( not attached to the wall itself beside the bed and all the other outlets in the room)is this a fire hazard or risk of being electricuted? We just didnt use those outlets and since there are no outlets in that bathroom it was a little inconvenient.Also we could never get the living room tv to work but it was fine we didnt need to watch it anyway and didnt really miss all the bad news. Overall enjoyed the stay and would stay there again if the outlets were fixed.

Overall it was a good experience. Marinda was very helpful and kind.
I suggest the owners freshen the house up some. by getting:
new cushions for the outdoor chairs(falling apart,stains, faded)
Get rid of some of the outdated faded stuff on the kitchen cabinets
Get rid of sad teddy bear in the LR
Get new entrance rugs,( faded chicken rug)
replace burnt out light bulbs
Bedspreads were nice. Tub and shower were nice and clean. Refrigerator was clean.
We enjoyed the house.

We really enjoyed our week stay at log cabin.. Very beautiful view and we enjoyed sat on porch and watch the river.. Very nice cabin I love this place also so quiet and peaceful. we definitely will come back They have everything we need.

This cabin is very nice. It was clean well kept and comfortable. Close to the river, Todd is a unique little town. Great for a nice peaceful get away.
