Roxy's Riverfront Playhouse on the New River - Crumpler

Location is amazing! We could hear the river as we relaxed on the balcony. Very close neighbor on one side but trees on the other. Ping pong was fun and having a half bath was helpful. Lots of wildlife, very relaxing. Do note that there is no dishwasher (we bought paper plates). Take towels or laundry detergent if you're staying a week or more. Furnishings were comfortable (except for chair). Plenty of bed linens and blankets. Lots of outside seating and side tables. Absolutely recommend and would return.

The stay was excellent, met some great neighbors & had a great time fishing. The house was good & clean. Thank you for trimming the tall grass down in front by the river for easy access. We definitely plan to come again.

Took my husband to the river for his birthday and Father's Day to celebrate him. We loved sitting on the upper back deck watching the river and the wildlife. We had our morning coffee out there and then moved down to sit by the river and watch the folks in their kayaks and canoes. There were 104 total who came by on Saturday. Sunday only 17. We built a fire on Saturday night and it was perfect. We saw an eagle that night also! He fished all three days. Didn't have much luck but did finally catch 2 smallmouth bass on the last day.

This place was an excellent get away retreat. Very quiet area right on the river with all the amenities you needed for a peaceful getaway. The house was clean and stocked well with linens and cooking needs. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed our family time at Roxy's.

Roxy's Riverfront is a quirky little place to stay and we had a wonderful time. Very peaceful and quiet. The n'hood is great and if you like to walk, the road in is flat and runs along the river, so it's a beautiful walk. The home is comfortable and the view from the covered porch out back is really nice. A little further east of West Jefferson than other places that we've stayed, but still not a bad drive at all (30 mins+/-). Kind of the place where you get all of your supplies and then just hunker down and relax. We would consider staying here again for sure. Thank you for a lovely getaway! PS: One improvement would be to have some type of microwaveable bowl (like a Pyrex-type dish) for cooking purposes.

We absolutely loved this place! We were there the 3rd weekend in October and the leaves were absolutely gorgeous against the New River backdrop right there at your back door! We plan to visit again, come spring time. We have kayaked by this house many times on the New River. We stayed here with our Aunt & Uncle and, of course, our dog, Jager. It was so awesome to rent a place where we could take our dog. The fire pit out back was so nice, we had a fire in it every night. Watching the fire in the dark, while listening to the River, was an amazing feeling! The house was well equipped with everything you need to make your own meals right there. And, the beds were nice and comfy. The house was clean and well appointed. We WILL be back this spring!! Thanks again!!

This is a beautiful home. My kids didn't want to leave. We felt at home with all the comforts. The sound of the river flowing was amazing. Also the fire pit was so exciting for my two two year Olds and my three year old. Amazing place , we want to come back.

Loved this property! Was perfect for our family of 5. Access to the River phenomenal. The view, the wildlife, and the peacefulness of it all was more than we expected. This is definitely a hidden gem and one we would love to return to.

Roxy's Riverfront provided a prime location for my small family to spend Thanksgiving. River access, large deck, forging firewood for the fire pit, big yard and pet friendly we had a great time and plan to return! The only concern I would mention is while it lists that it sleeps eight people, our guests were too large for the bunk beds and the pull out couch is in the middle of living space with no privacy. The garage and a blow up mattress served well as a third sleeping location. Four adults and four children would be ideal.

Enjoyed the stay. The house is perfectly located to enjoy the river. It is small and cozy with a bit of a beach house feel. It's off the beaten path which adds to the charm.

Great time,nice place on the river. Cost was very reasonable. Only problem was dryer didnt work. Called the office but noone fixed it. Suggestions would be weedeat at front entrance. Add a hose outside to wash feet and river shoes off. Well worth the money, i will be booking this house again.

We had a wonderful time at this home. The home was spotless and had just about everything we needed and more! The grass was freshly cut, making it nice for the kids and dog to run around. I would definitely visit here again!

Roxy’s Riverfront Playhouse is exactly what it’s name implies, a place for fun and relaxation! We found the property very clean and inviting upon our arrival. The open floor plan provided ample space for our party of five to enjoy preparing meals together as well as relaxing in front of the tv. The covered porch on the upper level was our choice for dining as well as many hours spent rocking the day away while listening to birdsong and watching tubers or kayaks pass by on the beautiful river. Our activities included fishing, hiking, tubing and lively games of ping-pong in the basement game room. There is a State Park nearby where river access is easy for tubing or kayaking and provides a two hour float back to the cabin. Also nearby is an Outfitters if you don’t have your own equipment you can enjoy the river with them. A day trip to West Jefferson for shopping, delicious treats or meals, and a visit to the cheese factory is something you don’t want to miss. We had a great time at Roxy’s and would love to return!

Nice clean home right on the river. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need to stay in an cook. River was amazing to drop your tube in an float or just set your chair down in an chill. Enjoyed the ping pong table and darts downstairs. Lots of wildlife around which we loved. Will definetly stay here again.

We spent an amazing weekend there! The house is beautiful and the views from the back deck are amazing. There was plenty of room for 5 of us. The house had lots of stuff to keep us entertained from the ping pong table, Internet, board games and everything you needed to prepare meals in the kitchen and on the grill. Unfortunately we did not get to use the fire pit this time but will definitely be back this summer to make s’mores. My husband spent two days fly fishing and caught a bass and a trout and the girls and I spent all day hanging out by the river. I loved that the house comes with linens and towels for the river. It makes it so convenient to just pack up the kids and food and head off to the mountains. Thank you for sharing your home with us and we will be booking another long weekend there soon.
