We love this place and will definitely be back! All of the comforts of home… nice and cozy… loved the shower… loved the bed… and of course, the awesome hot tub! This is a MUST for us. It was a great hideaway in the hills… but close to the places we wanted to go. I’ll be booking soon for next year!!

My husband and I loved the bungalow. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to Hurricane Helene. We lost power and water. Fortunately we were able to get out on Friday afternoon. We would love to come back when we could enjoy.

This is our third stay at this cute bungalow. It is in a quiet neighborhood and nestled in the trees. It is equipped with just about everything you could want for a great week. It was exceptionally clean. The bed is very comfortable but a little too high to climb into if you are of short stature. A set of bed steps would be appreciated by us short folks. It is conveniently located near Walmart and to Ingles, my favorite grocery store. We will be back hopefully before the snow comes.

House is just as pictured in the photos. The hot tub is in good working order. Beds were comfortable, house is clean. It’s light on kitchen supplies - 4 dishes/bowls/plates, limited glasses. No serving bowls - made a salad in one of the pots. We had no trouble finding it but it’s tricky in the dark. I was grateful and so happy to have a mama deer and 3 fawns visit the driveway at dusk while I was reading on the porch!

Perfect 2 bed / 2 bath for my family get together. Our extended family stayed at a couple cabins in Fleetwood Falls for a reunion. It was the perfect location just close / far enough to blue ridge parkway and Boone for activities. Yet, far enough away to be peaceful and low-key. New river access at base of neighborhood was great for lazy days on the river with great views.

The house was excellent, from the hot tub to the king bed. The house was beautifully decorated. We loved the kitchen table and the bedroom furniture. The house was very clean. I think our favorite part of the house was the wildlife. Every morning about 630 until about 8am the yard was a deer playground. We had a little possum sleeping in the outside trash can, we gently put it on its side so the little guy could get out. We saw a giant woodpecker, it looked like woody the woodpecker. We will defiantly book again.

Enjoyed this cozy little cabin at the top of the hill in Fleetwood Falls. Clean as a whistle and quiet as a tomb. Everything you need is provided in the kitchen. Loved the gas fire place. Easy access to the river. In short, if you are staying in this area, it's hard to beat.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved it. Very clean and very spacious. The house was very clean. We would stay here again and we do recommend it. There is one bedroom upstairs with a full bath. The other bedroom is downstairs with a full bathroom. The kitchen is very spacious with a large farm dining room table .

We enjoyed our stay. The location was centrally located to each area we planned to visit. The house was comfortable. We might suggest having microwave dishes for reheating leftovers, and maybe bringing a small stool for assistance in climbing into the master bed. Our only downside was the lack of lighting for reading.

Very clean, comfortable and relaxing cabin in between Boone and Jefferson where we enjoyed a quick trip with our two kids. Easy check in and check out experience. The house was updated and we really enjoyed the layout with multiple porches. The new river is the standout of the location and we took advantage of the access to swim. Convenient to so many great hikes and outings highly recommend!

This place was better than perfect for what we needed. It was so perfect that I want to bring my husband back for 4th of July but it is probably booked. I will stay there again. I made breakfast every morning and dinner every night after getting out of the hot tub. It would be nice if more dishes were provided. If your thinking about renting this beautiful little cabin think no more and just click on book it!

This is the cutest little cabin, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It snowed while we were up so that added a cool factor with the jacuzzi . We didn't leave the house all weekend.

We loved this little place. It was nice and clean. It had very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the hot tub. The only comment would be if it's had snow you better have a 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. Or you are not getting up it. The downstairs TV the sound was not good. But other than those things I would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful cabin that is nicely appointed and is very new. The only downside was that the tv remote was missing and there were no instructions for operating it with the buttons on the side. The road to the cabin is very narrow and I would recommend not driving it at night unless necessary. Quiet and peaceful.

Whenever you arrive at a place you are going to stay, you check to see if it's clean. First you look around for spider webs, dust, finger prints, at the floor, then you go to the bathroom. You look for all those nasty hairs and clutters of dust. The cabin was excellently cleaned!!! Housekeeping took get pride in their work. There wasn't even webs high up in the ceiling! The cabin, hot tub, and location was absolutely wonderful! It has everything one would need for a get get away! THANK YOU!

The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood in the hills. It is in between Boone and West Jefferson. The roads are narrow and twisty but easy to navigate. The cabin is comfortable and stocked. We sat on the huge porch and read most of the week. Deer cross the yard in the mornings and evenings. The river is across from the entrance to the neighborhood.

Cabin was very well equipped for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and relaxing. We enjoyed the outdoor grill and hot tub. Location was off the beaten trail and high in the mountains. This cabin is adorable and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped (but a vegetable peeler and cheese grater would be good additions). The gazebo on the lake and the river, while not far, are not really walkable, as the cabin is situated in a community on a hillside with very narrow, windy, steep roads. Unfortunately it was cold, even for the time of year, so we did not really sit on the porch or use the hot tub. The fireplace, however, was easy to use & kept us toasty.

We had two great weeks in Stone’s Throw Bungalow. It is in a great location almost at the top of the mountain. It has a great hottub that came in handy as we had cool weather and lots of rain. The kitchen is well equipped but the interior of the house could have better lighting. The upstairs bed has old fashioned metal springs and loudly squeaks whenever someone moves. We watched the deer come into the yard every evening and they were not afraid of us. It is only several minutes from West Jefferson where there are many nice stores. If you like to fish, the river is just at the bottom of the hill. The highlight of our stay was a rocking earthquake our first morning there. We hope to stay there again and take some warmer clothing. :-)

This place really was a great find! We decided last minute to go and we booked the cabin about 5 hours before we checked in. Aside from the constant busy phone lines the whole process was very smooth and quick. The only issue we had with the cabin was the hot tub kept running all night and was a little dirty. Even with that being said we would go back in a heartbeat! I will say this it's a cozy cabin and great for a small family. I don't think I would go with even another couple. You would be on top of each other.

A beautiful, clean, new bungalow. I would definitely come back again. It is kind of hard to find the first time up the hill but once you know where it is, it's easy to navigate through the neighborhood. Very peaceful quiet place. 20 minutes to Boone. I emailed the management company about trying to get in early on the first day but never got a response, other than that everything was perfect.

Our overall experience was great, as usual when we book with them. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. I think they need something to mark the address out at the road because the mailbox in front of the property is for the house across the street and so arriving at night we drove by the house the 1st time. At 1st we weren't sure how we would like staying here because looking at the pictures the house looks secluded but when we pulled up there are houses all around it. However, we loved it. It was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing that needs to be changed it the couch is extremely uncomfortable for sitting. A comfortable couch in front of the cozy fireplace would be great on a cold rainy day stuck inside.

Our family has visited this area in October for the past 10 years. We can honestly say that this cabin is our favorite! It is a touch of luxury in a beautiful cabin. The home is stocked with everything we needed. Some previous reviews left regarding this cabin noted concerns about the driveway...we drive a large SUV and had no trouble getting in and out of the roads or driveways. It was great to have the TVs for entertainment for the kiddos and as always Jerrita is wonderful to work with. I have no complaints regarding our stay.

My sister and I stayed at Stone's Throw for several days in August. The accommodations were very nice. Everything was provided and the house upscale. Only problem there was no closet to use in the upstairs bedroom. Side porch was used a lot-wish there had been room for a swing. Getting out of driveway was tricky if more than one car. Would definitely would stay there again..

A newly constructed home conveniently located between Boone and West Jefferson, just off of scenic Railroad Grade Rd. and the New River. On numerous occasions, deer walked through the yard and even bedded down for the night right in front.

The house was extremely clean without a spec of dust on the floors. The toilets were wrapped on arrival indicating they had been sanitized. The rental company reached out to us on numerous occasions prior to our arrival providing us with tips for our stay and directions.

I would highly recommend the property.

Cabin was beautiful & in a awesome location nestled right between West Jefferson & Boone! Loved the rustic charm, the porch, & the hot tub! My only negatives are that there was no regular tv, only a Roku box. It would be nice to have a regular antenna for local tv or sports for the men folk! Also, unless you drive a SMALL car, the random trees closest to the house make it difficult to turn around. We had to make a 5 point turn for my husband’s full size truck! Lastly, the lake shown in the “ad” is quite a trek from the house & it appeared to be right in the backyard in the photos.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay & the folks at the rental agency were very helpful & accomodating! Great weekend getaway!

The cabin is fantastic very clean and cozy - our kids loved having the upstairs bedroom. Highly recommend 4wheel drive for winter visits. Would suggest removing 1 tree on the edge of the parking area - if you have a large SUV or truck turning around is difficult as you have to back up around the tree. But we had a blast and would be back.

This rental was more than we ever expected. The home has beautiful woodwork through out and it really makes you feel like your in a cabin with a bit of upscale living. The rental company was great to work with. We had a little hiccup with the internet and TV but they bent over backwards to help. I would suggest putting in some DVD/Blu-Ray players for the times the internet goes out. Over all we WILL be back!

Very clean, quiet and convenient to every place we wanted to visit. The New River was very relaxing as we drove along its banks. The home was very well appointed and comfortable. We would definitely rent this again, maybe in the spring to learn how to trout fish, or canoe. The location ws an easy drive to Blowing Rock and Elk Knob, for hiking. Great place to stay! Gorgeous neighbor hood, loved seeing the deer in the yard! Also had a sweet “mountain dog” Damian come by and visit. Cabin was beautiful and clean. Hot tub was a little difficult to figure out, also had a weird smell to water.

Thank you for the feedback. We're in the process of adding some additional instructions for the hot tub. Also the hot tub is serviced between each and every guest. We're always happy to send out maintenance however if anything is ever of concern so we can determine if attention is needed.

Stone's Throw was an awesome getaway for me and my wife. We celebrated our 10th anniversary and wanted to get away and enjoy the quiet and that's exactly what happened. The only problem was getting to the location. The email stated to look for an orange cone and there was no orange cone. The home needs an address marker or something to distinguish it. It was behind some trees, so it was hard to locate. I was glad we went during the day.

This is a great get away! The neighborhood is so beautiful. It is so quiet and relaxing. The porch is large and great for sitting or soaking in the hot tub. The interior is nicely decorated and new. Everything was great. The bed was very comfortable.
It was extremely clean and the kitchen items are good quality too!
We went into Boone and into West Jefferson enjoying the sights.

Loved this house! Everything was brand new. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I recommend is to get non stick pans but other than that the trip was great. We would definitely like to come back.

We had an absolutely AMAZING stay at the bungalow. Everything in the cabin is brand new and beautiful. I would like to be back there relaxing right now! The cabin had everything we needed from coffee cups to towels. The hot tub was clean and the forest is lovely. Great location as it is close to Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway! We will be returning.

Me and a few of my friends rented this cozy little retreat for the weekend to get away from work for a few days. This place is truly amazing. From the deep sitting couch and king beds to the steaming hot tub this one has it all. The house was very clean and exactly what we were looking for in a mountain vacation home. It was well lit and easy to get to, and the deck was perfect size for an outdoor dinner and drinks. We will definitely be returning to this property. P.S. the river and lake were a blast to fish and had gorgeous views.

Thank you for the wonderful review. The common area on the New River is less than a mile from the property, only a couple of minutes drive, with plenty of parking space and offers easy access into the river for fishing, swimming and more.

There was no TV service other than that available with Roku (eg.Netflix,etc.)
It would be good to have non-stick frying pans.
There should be a privacy blind or curtain on the downstairs bedroom door.

Perfect for my 13 year old son and myself as a nice getaway for summer break, as I am a teacher. Far enough away to be private but close enough to Boone and West Jefferson to do about anything we wanted there. My only surprises were that it was in a neighborhood like setting, and there was some construction going on at the house across from ours which was a little annoying at times. However, the "neighborhood" was very steep and wind-y as well as plenty of trees around, so you really didn't see the neighbors and the construction noise was not constant. When that is finished I believe it will be a perfect retreat for some much needed peace and quiet. Enjoyed our stay and have already recommended to 2 Friends! Thanks for the ease of check-in and out. Loved it!

We have stayed with Ashe county rentals 4 times. Now and every trip the cabins are clean and well maintained but this place looks brand new. It's right off probably the best cycling trail in the state so it want be a disappointment. Only downside is the home is wide open with no blinds on the doors and the neighbors close. But other than that perfect stay. We will be going. Back

we enjoyed our stay at this cute little cabin everything was nice and clean.We especially like the hot tub. My only request would be please put a blind / curtain some type of covering over the door in the bedroom due to the close proximity of neighbors.

The home was wonderful inside. Location could be better. Close to several homes around it. The neighbors that were there were quiet though. The hot tub was clean and heated quickly. We will rent it again probably.
