Tulip Tree Chalet - Crumpler

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tulip Tree. The process from reserving the cabin until we checked out was great. We will definitely stay with you again.

we traveled up to to the area with some friends of ours and had a great long weekend. The house was just as expected and advertised. we loved downtown West Jefferson for shopping around. highly recommend and would most definitely visit this home again!

Could have been a kettle in the place. Also would have been good to have known that road was iced up before arrival and or on booking. We struggled to reach the cabin even in our truck. Otherwise really great stay and your office always helpful and available

Reservation process was smooth. Cabin is cute and roomy. Loft and basement were great. I loved the deck area. Only drawback was parking. Driveway is very short and steep. Can only fit one medium SUV (I have an RDX).

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and this place was great. There are other houses close by but there are trees separating this place from most of the neighbors and it was very quiet. The cabin was clean. It was within a 15/20 min drive from West Jefferson which is a nice town to shop, eat, and check out the farmer's market. Definitely check out Grayson Highlands Park just 30 min north in Virginia. If you're there on a Friday night and you'd like to get a taste of the local culture, stop by Phipps General Store (you can find them on Facebook) and listen to locals sit around playing bluegrass music. If you're planning to cook at the cabin, you may want to bring spices as they just had salt and pepper. The showers had the best water pressure I've ever experienced in a cabin (with lots of shelves for bath products) and the water gets hot fast and stays hot. The king bed was not that comfortable but we made it work. The queen seemed like it was more comfortable. The sectional in the living room was great for lounging and the large kitchen table provides ample space for those that like to play games or put together puzzles. The driveway is short but very steep, if you go in the winter just make sure you have an appropriate vehicle. Overall, it was a great place to relax and destress.

Great cabin for a quick getaway to quiet and relaxing area. The cabin had everything we needed for a nice relaxing stay. Close to West Jefferson downtown area and hiking trails all around. Lovely place for the price.

We had a great family stay at Tulip Tree Chalet for Memorial Day weekend. The house was clean and cozy. It felt like we were up in a tree house when you looked out of the windows. The location was very convenient to a lot of things (Grayson Highlands, grocery and drug store, West Jefferson, etc. The only challenge could be the steep driveway and stairs if that is an issue for anyone. Overall we loved staying at Tulip Tree Chalet! Small suggestions: leave instructions for fire ring on deck add a vegetable peeler :)! Thanks for a lovely stay!

The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A wonderful 7 days. The TT chalet was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The steps leading to the loft are extremely slippery... we had a fall. Non skid tape on the stairs would be an easy fix. Everything worked, internet was good, very quiet, great TV, convenient to places we visited,....overall it was very enjoyable.

We had a nice time at this property. The location is peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed the area but mainly just relaxed around the house.
The property could use a little more care though. The upstairs bedroom looked to have very dusty walls and the cleaning crew missed some cups and dishes. Also, some of the electrical outlets didn't work.
A good cleaning and some TLC will make this a great rental.

We had a nice long weekend of skiing. The cabin was exceptionally clean and we had plenty of room. Beds were comfy. The bathrooms had been remodeled and were very nice. Location is about 45 from Appalachian Ski Mountain. I highly recommend Hilbilly Cafe for lunch in West Jefferson!

We had the privilege of lodging in this adorable chalet over the New Year! It is reminiscent of a quaint Swiss chalet aesthetic. The dwelling is positioned amongst a forested area with lovely views of mountains during the winter. The layout offers various areas to congregate or relax. My husband particularly enjoyed the open area upstairs to play guitar while enjoying tranquil Mountain Views . The kids enjoyed the finished basement as a fun area to hangout. The gas logs in the living room were easy to use and mesmerizing. The Furnished outdoor deck Area with gas fire pit was a pleasant area to gather as well!
